Carvajal Suffers ACL Injury, Sidelined for Extended Period
Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has torn his anterior cruciate ligament during the ninth round of La Liga in the match against Villarreal, where they clinched a 2-0 victory.
"Serious cruciate ligament injury. I’m gonna have surgery and already looking forward to starting recovery and coming back like a BEAST. Thank you all so much for your messages, I feel very loved”, Carvajal stated, as quoted by journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on social media.
The Real Madrid player sustained the injury towards the end of the match against Villarreal on October 5th.
In the current season, Carvajal has played in 11 matches across all competitions for Real Madrid, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
