Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has successfully undergone surgery following the rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right leg.

According to the club's press service, the 32-year-old Spanish footballer will remain under medical supervision as he embarks on his recovery process in the near future.

Carvajal sustained the severe injury on October 5 during the ninth round of La Liga against Villarreal, where Real Madrid secured a 2-0 victory. On October 6, the Spaniard confirmed the rupture of his knee's cruciate ligament.

This season, the defender has made 11 appearances across all competitions for Real Madrid, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
