Diego Maradona's remains will be moved to a mausoleum in Buenos Aires

In the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires, a special mausoleum will be built to house the remains of legendary striker Diego Maradona, Clarin reports.

The structure will be erected in the capital's Puerto Madero district tentatively in 2025. It is noted that the court has already approved the transfer of Maradona's remains from the cemetery of Bella Vista municipality of San Miguel to the future mausoleum, which is planned to be located near the presidential palace.

Maradona passed away on November 25, 2020. The Argentine died as a result of acute pulmonary edema, which was caused by chronic heart failure.
