England suffers first-ever defeat to Greece

The England team faced their first-ever defeat against Greece.

On Thursday, October 10, Lee Carsley's side was beaten 2-1 by the Greek team at home in the third round of Group B2 in the Nations League.

Prior to this match, the two teams had faced each other nine times, with England winning seven encounters and two ending in draws. The goal difference in those previous matches heavily favored the Three Lions with 23 to 3.

Greece now tops the Group B2 table in the Nations League with nine points, while England sits in second place with six points.

In the next round, Lee Carsley's team will travel to face Finland, and Greece will host Ireland. Both matches are scheduled for October 13.
