Erik ten Hag delivered a farewell message following his departure from Manchester United
Dutch manager Erik ten Hag delivered a farewell message following his departure from Manchester United.
"Dear fans, let me begin by expressing my gratitude. Thank you for your unwavering support, no matter where the team plays. Because of you, the atmosphere at Old Trafford has always been incredible. I've enjoyed meeting United supporters — you have inspired me.
I also want to thank the staff in every department of the club for their constant support. We achieved two trophies together, and I will treasure these memories for life. Of course, it was my dream to bring even more silverware to the club, but sometimes things are not meant to be. I wish all Manchester United fans success, trophies, and glory. Your warmth and support made me feel at home," Ten Hag was quoted by journalist Fabrizio Romano.
As a reminder, Rúben Amorim is set to join United as head coach on November 11, with interim manager duties currently being handled by Ruud van Nistelrooy.
On Monday, October 28, Manchester United announced Ten Hag's departure. The Dutchman had been in charge since the summer of 2022, leading the Red Devils to victories in both the FA Cup and the English League Cup.
United will face Chelsea on November 3 in their Premier League Round 10 match.
