Flick aims to include injured Yamal in squad for Sevilla match

Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick plans to include forward Lamine Yamal in the squad for the upcoming match against Sevilla, despite the player's injury.

According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the 17-year-old winger's recovery is expected to take a few days. Consequently, the German coach is keen to have the player available for the upcoming tenth round of the Spanish Championship.

On Saturday, October 12, Lamine Yamal sustained a strained left hamstring during a Nations League match against Denmark, which ended 1-0. The Catalan club's press office has not specified the forward's recovery timeline.

The fixture between Barcelona and Sevilla as part of the tenth round of La Liga is scheduled for October 20 at Barcelona's home ground.

This season, Lamine Yamal has scored five goals and provided five assists in 11 appearances for the Catalan side. The winger's contract with the Spanish club runs until the summer of 2026.
