Former Bayern Director Believes Wirtz is Eyeing Move to Real Madrid
Former Bayern Munich director Michael Reschke believes that Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz is keen on continuing his career at Real Madrid.
"It's clear to everyone that Wirtz is thinking about a move to Real Madrid. It's one of the top five clubs in Europe. My personal opinion is that Wirtz will join Real. I think Carlo Ancelotti will be replaced by a Spaniard who is currently working in the Bundesliga [Xabi Alonso], and it's quite likely that he'll take his favorite player with him. I have a feeling that everything might align," Reschke stated on Sky Sports.
This season, the 21-year-old midfielder has played nine matches for Bayer in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing one assist. The player's contract with the German club runs until the summer of 2027, and Transfermarkt values him at €130 million.
