Former Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou resumes career at 39
Former Chelsea and Ivory Coast striker Salomon Kalou has resumed his playing career at the age of 39.
According to Koaci, Kalou has taken on the role of player-director at Ivorian club Gagnoa. The club’s chairman, Tommy Tayoro Nyckoss, successfully convinced the forward to return to the pitch and assist the team as a player.
Kalou made 254 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 60 goals. During his time with the London club, he won the UEFA Champions League, the Premier League, four FA Cups, and the League Cup.
