Former Real Madrid player on Sergio Busquets: "A real crybaby, never could take a hit"

Former Real Madrid player Wesley Sneijder has criticized former Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets.

"Busquets was always a very annoying player. He'd kick at other players' legs but could never take a hit himself. As soon as he got hit, he'd start whining. A real crybaby. I literally fought with him in every game. At one point, I told him, 'See you in Ibiza this summer, and we'll talk again then.' An unpleasant guy to play against," Sneijder was quoted as saying by Barca Universal via Ziggo Sport.

Busquets is a product of Barcelona's academy. The midfielder played for the Catalan club's first team from 2008 to 2023, making a total of 722 appearances, scoring 18 goals, and providing 45 assists.

In the summer of 2023, Busquets joined MLS club Inter Miami as a free agent.
