French authorities have banned PSV Eindhoven fans from attending a match against PSG
French authorities have banned PSV Eindhoven fans from attending the Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in Paris, scheduled for October 22.
According to L'Équipe, the decision was influenced by the behavior of PSV supporters during last year's matches against RC Lens. Despite the Dutch club's fans having already purchased 2,000 tickets for the game, the ban was unexpectedly imposed.
PSV expressed disappointment not only with the decision itself but also with its timing. The club's statement, quoted by L'Équipe, said, "The decision by the French authorities came as a complete surprise. PSV regrets not only the decision but also the timing, as all preparations had already been finalized, and significant expenses had already been incurred. Moreover, Peter Bosz's team had been counting on the support of their loyal fans."
