Gavi comments on his return to the pitch after 11 months
Barcelona's 20-year-old midfielder Gavi shared his emotions after returning to the field during the 10th round of La Liga in the 5-1 win against Sevilla.
"I’m really happy to be back. It’s a joyous day for me, one I’ve been dreaming about for months. Initially, I didn’t expect Pedri to give me the captain’s armband.
You have to enjoy every moment and appreciate everything. The team supported me during these months, and I’m very grateful to them. Football is my life," Gavi told Barca Universal on social media.
The 20-year-old midfielder suffered a torn cruciate ligament in his knee last November during a Euro 2024 qualifying match against Georgia (3-1).
