Guardiola on the calendar: ‘We are used to playing every three or four days during the year’

Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola commented on the victory of his team over Southampton (1:0) in the match of the 9th round of the championship of England.

‘It's a good game to learn as a coach. ‘Southampton played really well. They didn't create many chances, but it cost us an incredible effort to take the ball away from them.

Now we only have two or three days to recover. We are used to playing every three or four days for 11 months. The problem is that we can't give some players a rest, but hopefully sooner or later we can give them a break and some can come back,’ the BBC quoted Guardiola as saying.

Manchester City's next domestic league match will be away against Bournemouth on 2 November.
