Guardiola: "We could olay up to 70 games this season. It’s like the NBA, but they get four Months off, and we get three weeks"
Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has linked the number of injuries to the demanding match schedule.
"It's the reality we are living now. In the previous seasons we played a lot of games, but if we go to the World Cup and arrive in the last stages of that competition, we’re going to play almost 70 games. It’s like NBA, but they have four months holiday and we have three weeks. You have injuries for a long time which didn’t happen before. It’s normal, it’s going to happen. We have to handle it,” Guardiola told the BBC.
The Club World Cup will be held in the United States in the summer of 2025, with 32 teams competing.
