Haaland will not be penalised for throwing the ball at Gabriel's head
Manchester City forward Erling Haaland will not face any punishment for throwing the ball at Arsenal defender Gabriel during a Premier League match.
In the 98th minute of the contest between Manchester City and Arsenal, which ended in a 2-2 draw in the 5th round of the Premier League, the score was levelled when John Stones' shot deflected into the net. At that moment, Erling Haaland ran into the Arsenal goal, grabbed the ball, and threw it at the back of Gabriel's head while the defender had his back turned to the Norwegian.
According to Daily Mail reporter Jack Gaughan, VAR reviewed the incident during the match and determined that no action was necessary from the officials. Therefore, the City striker will not be penalised either during or after the match.
