Haaland's brace helps Manchester City thrash Sparta
Manchester City secured a commanding 5-0 victory over Prague's Sparta in the third round of the Champions League group stage. The match took place at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
The goals for the Citizens came from Phil Foden (3rd minute), Erling Haaland (58th; 68th), John Stones (65th), and Matheus Nunes (88th, penalty).
City has now accumulated seven points, rising to fifth place in the Champions League standings, while Sparta sits at 18th with four points.
In the next round, the Citizens will face Sporting away on November 5, while the Prague club will host Brest a day later.
