Iniesta plans to become a football manager
Former Barcelona and Spain midfielder Andrés Iniesta has decided to pursue a career in football management.
According to journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on social media, the ex-Barcelona player has already begun his coaching education with the United Arab Emirates Football Association (UAEFA).
On October 8th, the 40-year-old Spaniard announced his retirement from playing. Iniesta played for Barcelona from 1996 to 2018, during which he won nine La Liga titles, four Champions League titles, six Copa del Rey trophies, seven Spanish Super Cups, three UEFA Super Cups, and three FIFA Club World Cups. In total, Iniesta made 674 appearances for Barça, scoring 57 goals and providing 136 assists.
Iniesta's last club was Emirates Club in the UAE.
