Inter captain Martinez took responsibility for the defeat to AC Milan

Inter striker and captain Lautaro Martinez commented on his team's defeat to AC Milan in the 5th round of Serie A (1:2).

«We definitely did not play the way we prepared. Our approach was wrong from the start. As team captain, I'm the first one who has to take responsibility. I realize that I'm not doing what I did last season, falling behind, but all I can do is keep working to get stronger», Football Italia quoted Martinez as saying by DAZN.

Simone Inzaghi's team suffered its first defeat of the current season. On its account eight points and sixth position in the table.

In the next match Inter will play away with Udinese on September 28.
