Ipswich Defender Injured While Washing Dishes
Ipswich Town defender Axel Tuanzebe narrowly avoided losing a finger in a domestic accident.
According to the Daily Mail, the Congolese footballer was washing dishes last week when he accidentally shattered a glass. A shard caused a deep cut to his finger, requiring surgery. There was even a risk of amputation.
Tuanzebe missed Ipswich’s Premier League match in the seventh round against West Ham. At the time, Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna explained that the player was absent due to undergoing hand surgery.
