Juventus Appeals Court Decision on Debt to Ronaldo

Juventus has announced that it has appealed the court's decision regarding former forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

«The club promptly paid this amount to the former player in the 2023/24 financial year. On September 26, Juventus filed an appeal challenging this decision with the Turin Court, Labour Section,» the club stated.

Previously, the court had ruled that the Turin club must pay Ronaldo €9.8 million plus 9% interest to account for inflation.

It is worth noting that in September, Ronaldo filed a lawsuit against Juventus demanding €19.5 million, which the club allegedly owed him under an unofficial agreement.

The footballer played for Juventus from 2018 to 2021. During his tenure with the Bianconeri, the Portuguese star became a two-time Serie A champion, as well as winning the Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana titles.
