Juventus interested in Maldini transfer

Juventus is looking to bolster their attacking line during the winter transfer window. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Turin club's sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, is considering three potential candidates to strengthen the attack, as Arkadiusz Milik's injury has left Dusan Vlahovic as the only available forward.

The Bianconeri are keeping a close eye on RB Leipzig's forward Lois Openda. However, Juventus will need to spend significantly to secure the 24-year-old Belgian, as his acquisition last summer for €42 million marked the most expensive signing in the German club's history. This season, Openda has netted five goals and provided two assists in nine matches. His contract with 'the Bulls' runs until the summer of 2028, with Transfermarkt valuing him at €60 million.

Juventus is also considering signing another Belgian forward, Sevilla's Dodi Lukebakio. The club has monitored the 27-year-old striker before, and his versatility in playing both as an attacking midfielder and as a winger adds to his appeal. Bianconeri's head coach, Thiago Motta, values multifunctional players. Lukebakio's transfer fee is estimated to be around €15 million. This season, he has scored three goals in nine matches for Sevilla. The Belgian's contract with the Spanish club extends until the summer of 2028.

Another candidate for strengthening Juventus's attack is the son of legendary AC Milan defender, Paolo Maldini. Daniele Maldini, the attacking midfielder from Monza, aligns with Juventus's new strategy focused on acquiring young players. The Italian's contract with his current club is valid until the summer of 2026, and Juventus might consider his transfer in January, given their excellent relations with Monza.

Daniele Maldini joined Monza from AC Milan last summer as a free agent. This season, the midfielder has scored one goal and provided one assist in eight matches. Transfermarkt estimates his market value at €4.5 million.
