Juventus Sporting Director Disappointed with Calafiori's Move to Arsenal
Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has expressed his disappointment over the transfer of Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna to Arsenal.
"It's unfortunate that we couldn't keep Calafiori in Serie A. This is bad news not only for us, as we wanted to sign him, but also for the entire Italian league," Giuntoli was quoted as saying by journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on social media.
On July 29, the Gunners announced the signing of the defender on a five-year contract.
This season, Calafiori has played five matches for the London club across all competitions, scoring one goal. Transfermarkt values the player at €45 million
