Kompany comments on Bayern's loss to Aston Villa in the Champions League

Bayern Munich's head coach Vincent Kompany addressed his team's 1-0 loss to Aston Villa in the second group stage match of the Champions League.

"This is a tough defeat, but our fate in the Champions League was not decided today. We need to move forward and aim for victories. I'm always focused on winning. I didn't even consider playing for a 0-0 draw. We had two important matches in a row against Leverkusen and Aston Villa, and we selected the lineup we wanted to use. We felt it was the right time to bring some fresh energy into the team. That's all there is to it.

Each game has its own story. We had many chances, but we didn't take them. We missed an opportunity, and it was at that moment that Villa scored. I'm confident that we are a team that will score more often than not," Kompany told Bayern & Germany.

Bayern is currently in 16th place in the table, with three points.
