Kompany on criticism of Neuer after Barcelona Match: "We lose together"

Bayern Munich's head coach Vincent Kompany has responded to the criticism of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer following their defeat to Barcelona. 

The Catalans achieved a resounding 4-1 victory over the Munich side in the third round of the Champions League group stage. The 38-year-old German goalkeeper did not manage to make a single save during the encounter.

"We lost. When we lose, we lose together, it's not just Manu, but the whole team and the coaches. That's important. If Manu changes his game, it's only to get even better. Criticism is part of football," Kompany's comments were quoted by Bayern&Germany.

Bayern currently holds the 23rd position in the Champions League standings with three points, while Barcelona is in tenth place with six points.

Manuel Neuer has played ten matches for the Munich club this season, keeping a clean sheet in four of them and conceding 12 goals overall.
