La Liga president on schedule: "FIFA doesn't listen to us. They do what they want"

La Liga President Javier Tebas has commented on the congested match schedule this season.

"FIFA consults with us, but when we say we disagree, they simply do what they want. I am not a proponent of strikes, but after discussions with the International Federation of Professional Footballers, I think it's a real possibility," Marca quotes Tebas as saying.

Earlier, Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti called on football officials to consider reducing the number of matches in the season due to the increasing number of player injuries.
