Makélélé has stepped down from his role as head coach of the Greek club after just three matches following his appointment

Former Real Madrid, Chelsea, and France international Claude Makélélé has departed from his role as head coach of Greek club Asteras, having managed just three matches in the position.

The 51-year-old cited serious disagreements with the club's management as the reason for his exit. During his brief tenure, Makélélé oversaw three unbeaten games in the Greek Super League, comprising two draws and one victory, with only one defeat to his name.

He was appointed head coach of Asteras on September 14, 2024, after previously serving as the technical director at Chelsea from 2019 to 2023.
