Manchester City Held to Draw by Newcastle in Premier League Clash
Manchester City played out a 1-1 draw with Newcastle United in the sixth round of the English Premier League (EPL). The match took place at St James' Park in Newcastle.
The Citizens took the lead through defender Josko Gvardiol in the 35th minute. Newcastle's Magpies avoided defeat thanks to a penalty converted by forward Anthony Gordon in the 57th minute.
Following the result, Manchester City accumulated 14 points and retained their position at the top of the Premier League table. Newcastle, with 11 points, moved up to fifth place.
In their next Premier League fixtures on October 5, the Citizens will face Fulham, while the Magpies are set to play against Everton.
