Maresca on Liverpool clash: "If you're going to lose, better to do it this way"
Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca expressed satisfaction with his team's performance despite their 2-1 defeat to Liverpool in the 8th round of the Premier League (EPL).
"It's never pleasant to lose or drop points, but I really liked our performance. We deserved more and overall, we played good football. For most of the match, we controlled the game: we had chances, we dominated possession.
Losing is always frustrating, but if you have to choose, it's better to do it this way. The team played bravely, both with and without the ball," Maresca told the BBC.
With this win, Liverpool moved to the top of the Premier League table with 21 points, while Chelsea are in sixth place with 14 points.
In the next round on October 27, Liverpool will face Arsenal, and Chelsea will play against Newcastle United.
