Real Madrid's forward, Kylian Mbappe, has assured the club's management that Paris Saint-Germain is behind the sexual assault allegations made against him, according to a report from Cadena Ser.
The footballer believes that the current situation is a "trap" set up by PSG's President, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, as the media outlets disseminating information about Mbappe's potential involvement in a rape case are under PSG's influence.
It is noteworthy that Mbappé and PSG are engaged in a legal dispute over the club's outstanding debt of 55 million euros to the player.
Earlier, the police initiated an investigation following a complaint of rape at a hotel in central Stockholm, where Mbappe and his friends were staying during a trip to Sweden.
