McGregor names UFC's top fighter at present

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor has revealed who he considers to be the strongest fighter in the promotion at this moment.

The two-weight champion stated, "2024 has been the year of Alex Pereira. No one can deny that. Putting aside the belts and everything else, Alex has fought four times this year and achieved four knockouts. For me, he is in first place," during an interview on the YouTube channel "The Schmo."

Brazilian fighter Alex Pereira is the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion. He claimed the title in 2023 by knocking out Czech fighter Jiří Procházka. Since then, Pereira has successfully defended his championship three times, securing knockout victories in all of those bouts.
