Mendy wins court case against Manchester City over unpaid wages
Former Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy won a court case against the English club. This is reported by the Daily Mail.
In November 2023, it became known that the former player of the “citizens” filed a claim in the Labor Court. Mendy demanded to reimburse “deductions from wages” made after he was accused of rape in 2021. The footballer was found not guilty on all counts.
The Frenchman prevailed in the trial of the case. Mendy demanded to recover 11 million pounds from Manchester City and will receive most of the amount.
Benjamin Mendy played for Manchester City from 2017 to 2023. As part of the “citizens” defender spent 75 matches and became a four-time champion of England. Last summer, the 30-year-old Frenchman joined Lorient as a free agent, signing a contract until the end of June 2025.
