Neville Assesses Liverpool’s Prospects for Winning the Premier League This Season
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has weighed in on Liverpool’s chances of clinching the Premier League (PL) title by the end of the season.
“Now Liverpool needs to prove, just as they did two years ago, that they can achieve success in both the PL and the Champions League. And I believe the club will attempt to do so with virtually the same players as two years ago. However, this is not what Liverpool fans want to see," Neville was quoted by the ECHO.
After six rounds of the English Championship, Liverpool sits atop the table with 15 points.
The Merseyside club last won the Premier League in the 2019/2020 season.
