Official: The UFC title fight between Rakhmonov and Muhammad has been cancelled

The UFC title fight between Kazakhstan's Shavkat Rakhmonov and American fighter Belal Muhammad has been cancelled, as reported by the promotion's press service. 

The bout was scheduled to take place at the UFC 310 event in Las Vegas, USA, during the night of December 7th to 8th. The organization has announced that they are working on securing a replacement main event.

Muhammad became the UFC champion in the summer of 2024, defeating Leon Edwards by unanimous decision. The American fighter of Palestinian descent holds an overall record of 24 wins and three losses in mixed martial arts.

Shavkat Rakhmonov has won all 18 of his career fights in MMA. The 29-year-old Kazakh last fought in December 2023, where he defeated Stephen Thompson by submission.
