Mbappé has dismissed accusations of sexual assault as false
The entourage of French national team and Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé has dismissed accusations of sexual assault as false.
“These allegations are completely false and irresponsible, and their dissemination is unacceptable. To put an end to this defamation against Mbappé, we will take all necessary legal steps to uncover the truth and hold accountable anyone or media involved in this slander and harassment,” the statement from Mbappé's representatives to RMC Sport read.
The player, who is currently in Stockholm for international matches, has reportedly become a "reasonable suspect" in an investigation into sexual harassment and assault. Mbappé himself has labeled the accusations as "fake news" and suggested it could be a provocation orchestrated by PSG.
