Palmeiras fans set fire to a bus carrying Cruzeiro supporters
According to Globo, citing federal highway police, a violent clash between fans of the Brazilian football clubs Cruzeiro and Palmeiras resulted in one person being burned alive and at least twenty others injured.
The incident occurred on a highway in the São Paulo region on Sunday. Police reports indicate that Palmeiras fans ambushed Cruzeiro supporters as they were returning from an away match.
Two buses were halted using nails on the road; one was set on fire, and the other had its windows smashed. Among the injured, two individuals sustained gunshot wounds, while the deceased suffered burns over 70% of their body.
