Pep Guardiola: "We are open to Erik ten Hag visiting us"
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has expressed that he would always be pleased to welcome former Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag at the club.
«We are open to Erik ten Hag visiting us. Any time! Seriously! Always we are open, but I think it’s not going to happen.But I know his agent a little bit, so the relation is there, no problem for me, for us...», Guardiola was quoted by journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on social media.
On October 28, Manchester United announced the departure of the 54-year-old coach. Erik ten Hag took charge of Manchester United in the summer of 2022. Under his leadership, the Red Devils won the FA Cup and the English League Cup. His contract with the club was set to run until the summer of 2026.
