Petit Claims Ronaldo Has a Big Ego
Former France international Emmanuel Petit has called Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo the greatest role model in football history.
"Ronaldo can be considered the greatest role model in football history when you look at where he started and where he is at 39. He came from Sporting and progressed step by step to become a star player. He has a big ego, but it has driven him to give his best every single day. He has set the bar for 15 years, and I have great respect for him. I admire athletes who not only want to reach the top but stay there. When it comes to both psychological and physical preparation, Ronaldo has set an example in every way," Petit told TVkampen.
The 39-year-old Portuguese has been playing for Al-Nassr since January 1, 2023. Ronaldo has made 70 appearances for the Saudi club, scoring 63 goals and providing 17 assists.
