Petit: "Ronaldo won’t score 1,000 Goals, even if he plays in Saudi Arabia until he's 42"

Former Arsenal, Chelsea, and France national team player Emmanuel Petit believes that Al-Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo will not reach the milestone of 1,000 career goals.

"Cristiano Ronaldo won't reach 1000 goals, even if he plays in Saudi Arabia until 42 years old. It will be extremely hard to average 30-40 goals a season at that age, and he will only decline with age. I don't expect him to get near that figure in all honesty," Petit stated in an interview with Jeffbet.

In September, Cristiano Ronaldo netted his 900th career goal. Following this achievement, the 39-year-old Portuguese forward declared his ambition to hit the 1,000-goal mark.

Ronaldo has been with Al-Nassr since January 2023. In the current season, the striker has scored nine goals and provided three assists in 12 matches. Overall, the Portuguese forward boasts 907 goals and 255 assists in 1,247 club and international appearances.

Ronaldo's contract with Al-Nassr is set to expire in the summer of 2025.
