Atletico Madrid fans caused disturbances during the 8th round La Liga match against Real Madrid, which ended 1-1.
In the second half, the game was halted as home fans threw various objects into the penalty area of visiting goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. Photos have appeared on social media showing the Belgian footballer carrying a trash bag off the pitch.

Following the stoppage, Atletico head coach Diego Simeone, as well as team captain Koke and other players, approached the stands to try and calm the fans. The break lasted approximately 15 minutes.
Atletico Madrid, with 16 points, is currently third in the La Liga standings, while Real Madrid, with 18 points, holds the second position.
