Potter addresses his dismissal from Chelsea in 2023

Former Chelsea manager Graham Potter has spoken about his time at the London club.

The English coach led the Blues from September 2022 until April 2023.

“I take responsibility for the results. I’ve never said I’ve ever been perfect and you live and you learn, and you are grateful for the opportunity and grateful for the experience you had there. But there’s probably a context that has appeared. The easy solution is Chelsea aren’t winning, so it must be the coach who has never worked at this level before, he’s the problem. That might not be 100 per cent wrong, but it’s not 100 per cent right.” said Potter The Telegraph.

In July, it was reported that Chelsea is still paying Potter's salary. Despite being dismissed in April 2023, he continues to receive approximately €1.2 million per month. Under the terms of his contract, the club is obligated to pay the former manager in full for 18 months following his departure, until Potter secures a new position.
