Real Madrid Extends Contract with Carvajal Despite ACL Injury

6 October 2024 12:47

Real Madrid has announced the extension of defender Dani Carvajal's contract, with the new agreement set to run until the summer of 2026.

On October 5th, Carvajal suffered a serious injury during the ninth round of La Liga against Villarreal, which ended in a 2-0 victory for Real Madrid. The following day, Carvajal revealed that he had torn his anterior cruciate ligament.

This season, the defender has featured in 11 matches across all competitions for Real Madrid, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
