Real Madrid Goalkeeper Courtois to Miss El Clásico Due to Injury

Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will miss Real Madrid's upcoming La Liga match against Barcelona due to injury.

As reported by journalist Mario Cortegana on social media, the 32-year-old shot-stopper, who previously suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee last year and missed most of the season, is sidelined again.

On October 23, Real Madrid's press service confirmed that Courtois has sustained an injury to the adductor muscle in his left leg, but the club has not disclosed how long his recovery will take.

The match will take place on October 26 at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, kicking off at 22:00 Moscow time.

Barcelona currently leads La Liga with 27 points, while Real Madrid is in second place with 24 points.
