Retired goalkeeper Szczęsny has agreed to help Barcelona following ter Stegen’s injury

Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny, who retired from professional football in August, is set to sign a contract with Barcelona, according to Relevo.

The 34-year-old Polish shot-stopper has decided to return to the sport following an invitation from the Catalan club. Barcelona had previously lost André ter Stegen for the remainder of the season due to a serious injury.

Szczęsny now needs to settle the legal details with Juventus, the club he represented prior to his retirement.
