Roma owner Friedkin has reached an agreement to purchase Everton

Blue Heaven Holdings and Friedkin Group have officially announced that they have reached an agreement to purchase Everton Football Club.

The offer from American businessman Dan Friedkin, who also owns Italian club Roma, surpassed that of his compatriot John Textor, who was considered the frontrunner for the acquisition of the club.

Everton has struggled in the current Premier League season, having failed to secure a victory thus far. After five matches, the Toffees have managed to earn only one point and currently sit in 19th place in the table.
