Rooney praises Ten Hag as a fantastic manager: "He is going through a tough time"
Former Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney has expressed his support for the club's head coach, Erik ten Hag.
"Ten Hag is a fantastic manager. He has won trophies wherever he has worked, including at Manchester United. Yes, he is currently experiencing a difficult period, and he is likely aware of it himself. However, I hope he can turn things around, as too often managers lose their jobs, and clubs are forced to start anew with a different coach," Rooney was quoted as saying by Goal.
After seven matches in the Premier League, Manchester United finds itself in 14th place in the table, having secured just eight points.
