Ten Hag believes early goal against Tottenham impacted Man United’s confidence

Manchester United's head coach, Erik ten Hag, spoke about the 3-0 defeat to Tottenham in the sixth round of the English Premier League (EPL).

"Conceding a goal two or three minutes into the match severely undermined our confidence. It was an entirely avoidable goal: a central defender bypassed our entire team, and the winger finished at the far post. A similar mistake happened in the match against Twente earlier this week, and we need to address it immediately.

We had chances to come back: Zirkzee and Garnacho had opportunities when the game was still level, and even after the red card, we created chances. I don't believe the foul warranted a sending-off, but it certainly affected the course of the game. We need to handle this situation and show our resilience," Ten Hag told the BBC.

Manchester United currently sits 12th in the EPL table with seven points.
