Ten Hag on Man United: "The problem is a lack of goals"

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag addressed the team's struggles with converting chances into goals.

"We haven't been scoring enough goals. That's the issue—the key is for the whole team to score as many as possible. We have players in the squad who are capable of scoring, that's obvious. You can see we create chances, but we’re simply not converting enough of them," the manager said in an interview with journalist Simon Stone on social media.

On 26 September, it was reported that Manchester United ranked among the top clubs in the Premier League in attacking actions this season. The Red Devils create an average of 3.2 goal-scoring chances per match, with an expected goals (xG) figure of 1.92, placing them third in the league in both categories.
