Ter Stegen's Medical Examination Results Revealed
Barcelona's goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has undergone his initial medical examination following a knee injury.
According to reports from RAC1, preliminary results suggest that the player has a tear in the hamstring tendon of his right knee. It is noted that should an MRI confirm this diagnosis, the German player could be sidelined for up to eight months.
The injury occurred during the 6th round of the Spanish championship against Villarreal, where Barcelona won 5-1. Ter Stegen started the match for the Catalan team but had to be replaced by Iñaki Peña in the first half after injuring his knee. The German goalkeeper was eventually stretchered off the field.
Barcelona currently leads the Spanish championship with 18 points, having secured their sixth consecutive victory in La Liga.
