The new owner of Everton intends to appoint Southgate as the team's head coach

American billionaire Dan Friedkin, who has reached an agreement to purchase 94.1% of the shares in Everton Football Club, is reportedly planning to dismiss head coach Sean Dyche.

The Toffees have had a tumultuous start to the season, managing to secure only one point from their first five matches in the Premier League. Friedkin is looking to appoint former England manager Gareth Southgate as the new head coach.

Friedkin's company announced the agreement with the club's current owner on September 23. For the acquisition of Everton by The Friedkin Group to go through, it must receive approval from the Premier League and other relevant authorities.
