The Premier League Clubs will hold an emergency meeting following the court decision on the Manchester City case
The majority of Premier League clubs are siding with the league in the case against Manchester City, according to Sky Sports.
An emergency meeting of EPL club representatives will be held next week to discuss the implications of the court's ruling in favour of Manchester City. Most clubs are siding with the league and supporting EPL chief Richard Masters.
Chelsea, Newcastle and Everton are expected to back Manchester City at the meeting.
On October 7, Manchester City announced that it had won its lawsuit against the EPL over rules related to sponsorships. The court found the rules on dealings with associated third parties (ATP) to be illegal and established the fact of the league abusing its dominant position.
The EPL, in turn, insists that the court recognized the necessity of the ATP system in general and dismissed the bulk of Manchester City's complaints.
