The Preston striker has been suspended for eight matches for biting an opponent on the neck

Montenegrin striker Milutin Osmajić of Preston has been suspended for eight matches following an incident in which he bit an opponent. 

The occurrence took place during the Championship match between Blackburn and Preston, which ended in a 0-0 draw, in the sixth round of the league. Blackburn's player reported to the referee that Osmajić had bitten him on the back of the neck during the first half. Subsequently, the referee issued a yellow card to Osmajić.

As a result of a further investigation by the Football Association (FA), the Montenegrin has been handed an eight-match ban and fined £15,000.
